The University of La Laguna (ULL) is the oldest university in the Canary Islands, with more than 200 years of history. Nowadays is an institution open to the world, with more than 23,000 students. Recently recognized as a regional campus of international European excellence (http://www.ceicanarias.com/en-gb) by the Spanish Ministry of Education, it has at the same time forged close links with America (https://www.ull.es/portal/agenda/evento/campus-america/) and Africa. ULL has extensive experience in coordinating and participating in international research projects. For more than 15 years, it has played a major role in the implementation of research and development projects for the promotion and encouragement of European research with examples such as the IMBRAIN project (draft 4). million € in FP VII).
